We are handing out sign-ups for the  Marshall tournament which is Feb. 11, 2012.  Sign-ups will be due by Tuesday, January 31, 2012. NO LATE SIGN-UPS!!

 

We are also handing out sign-ups for the Fulton Novice tournament on Feb.12, 2012.  Sign-ups will be due by Tuesday, January 31, 2012. NO LATE SIGN-UPS!!

 

It is not encourged that 1st and 2nd year wrestlers attend both tournaments.

 

Kids Club Night at the Jefferson City High School will be on Monday, Feb 6th.  The High school will be having a dual with Rockbridge, the wrestlers will get in free and will be introduced between the JV and varsity matches.  They should wear their club shirts.  Wrestling starts at 6:00.

 

 

The monday practice will be moved to Tuesday, February 7.

 

If you do not have a singlet and have signed up for a tournament.  You will need to see Brenda LaBella.

 

 

All parents need to sign up to work our tournament to be held February 4, 2012, whether your child is wrestling or not. Work assignment sheets will be at practices.

 

Each family will need to bring a covered dish or food item for the hopsitilaty room.  If you would rater donate $10.00 we will be glad to purchase those food item.  We serve breakfast and lunch to all the coaches and officials and workers throughout the day.

Registrations are not closed.  If you want to register your child come to our practice on Monday through Thursday in the Jefferson City High School Wrestling Room.

 

Practice time is 6:00-7:45 pm Monday through Thursday.  Please have your child there and ready to go at 6:00 and please have your child picked up as soon as practice is over.

 

 

 Birth Certificate is required in order to practice and compete in tournaments.

 

 

Costs:

 

$30.00 for USA Wrestling Membership Card of which $10.00 of this goes towards secondary insurance.

 

 

$15.00 - $18.00 tournament entry fee.  Tournament participation is optional and they are generally on Saturday’s we do have some Sunday tournaments. Also of interest to first year wrestlers is a Rookie State tournament only wrestlers who are in their first year or are 6 and under can compete.

 

 

We don't do any fund raisers throughout the year, you will not be asked to sell any items, however we do host a tournament each year and you will be asked to donate time to help with the tournament and to donate food for the concession stand or coaches hospitality room.  This is our fund raiser.

 

All of our coaches are certified through USA Wrestling and the coaches have to pass background screening.
